CTDS founder, Margot Scott, has had extensive experience in managerial roles in such diverse industries as government, manufacturing and importing. This experience has given her great insight into the personal learning needs of individuals and she is dedicated to helping people achieve their fullest career potential.

She has tertiary qualifications in Counselling and Applied Social Science, specialising in career development. This academic training, coupled with her management experience, has given her valuable insight into human behaviour, particularly regarding motivation and the impact on individuals of a constantly changing environment.

Margot’s experience in working with staff affected by restructures and redundancies has helped foster the values that this company is based upon: caring, motivation, learning, success and integrity. Margot has worked with individuals who are at their lowest professional ebb, and has witnessed the success of dealing with people by utilising these values.

During the past nine years, Margot has worked as a career consultant with many people across all industries from entry level to senior management. As a result of these one-on-one relationships, she understands that people need to be continually developed and encouraged to learn in order to remain motivated and productive. She has helped hundreds of people transition into vastly different and more challenging roles. As well, she has facilitating individual career development programs for people who simply want to change industries or “reinvent” themselves so they can move into totally different roles.

As Margot is passionate about empowering people to take control of their own destiny and, ultimately, achieve their fullest potential, CTDS has designed numerous workshops and career development programs to assist people on this journey. Additionally, she and her consultants provide inspirational support to their clients and motivate them to realise their personal and professional goals.

Margot is a Registered User for the full range of Saville and Holdsworth Ltd (SHL) ability tests, interest inventories, and questionnaires. She is accredited in the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Steps I and II, and her memberships include the National Career Development Association of Australia, Australian Institute of Management and Australian Association for Psychological Type Inc.

Margot has hand-picked her consultants to ensure the company’s motto, Care … Learn … Motivate … is encapsulated in all services CTDS provides. Most of our consultants are registered psychologists, as we are passionate about the rewards to be gained from our services, and the integrity of the professionals who deliver them.
