Stress Management

Do you ever feel that you are too stressed to cope with your everyday workload and are heading for “burn-out”? Is the stress being experienced by your team rubbing off on you and negatively affecting performance?

As productivity demands increase, the need to use effective strategies for managing job pressure and rapid change intensifies. However, according to researcher Hans Seyle, “Without stress, you would be dead!”. He, and many others who have written on the subject of stress management, advise that too much or too little stress is a liability and that the challenge is to get the balance just right and create sufficient stress to optimise health and performance.

This course will help participants to develop an understanding of the positive and negative aspects of stress. The program also offers a comprehensive range of stress reduction and stress management strategies for participants to create a personal plan for effective stress management.

Managers and professionals who need strategies for dealing with stress. The structure of the program includes individual and small break-out group sessions, completion of questionnaires and practice with selected stress management interventions.
