Team Development Using the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator

Is your team not as cohesive as you would like? Do you understand why certain people are good at the bright ideas but hopeless at implementing them?

This program is designed to help individuals understand their preferred working style, and learn how to best work as part of a team. This workshop uses the MBTI® (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) as the first step in assisting individuals in understanding themselves and others.

Who should attend

Managers, Team Leaders and Team Members who wish to better understand how to capitalise on the dynamics of their team.

Participants will gain:

  • An understanding of the psychology of groups.
  • The ability to apply Type theory to team functioning.
  • Techniques for team interventions.
  • Problem solving with non-performing teams.

  • Appreciation of the differences in people and working styles.
  • Develop an effective team mix.
  • Identify leadership styles.
  • Clarify team behaviour.
  • Identify a framework in which team members can understand and better handle conflict.
  • Understand why individuals communicate, learn, make decisions and organise their lives differently.
  • Learn how different perspectives can lead to effective problem solving.
  • Identify individual areas for improvement.
